An award-winning HTML5 game modification created as part of an online contest at collaboration-based website Mod.it.

Original Brickout Graphics
Created for the “Make it Anything” game contest on Mod.it, an online project collaboration site, this project modified an existing game called Brickout, which had originally been created by the site/project administrators. Brickout Deluxe placed third in the “Most Moddable” category for the contest.
All custom graphics were created in Adobe Photoshop, including brick, ball and power-up items, a custom title screen including logo, and multiple game screen backgrounds.
New original and enhanced gameplay elements, created using Javascript, included a persistent heads-up score and lives display, real-time point value display, and a custom file structure that allows for easier and more intuitive creation and implementation of custom maps and levels.
The game was originally available to play online, but became unavailable when Mod.it changed its site to due to a shift in focus from game development to a more general collaboration platform. However, the above mock-ups are representative of the final look and feel of the game.
